For Windows Vista,
and later versions of Windows, Microsoft's
new Driver Test Manager (DTM) must
be used for all Windows Logo submissions.
This new testing framework includes
an all new audio fidelity test which
verifies that the system under test
(SUT) provides the end user with a
Universal Audio Architecture (UAA)-compliant
hardware solution. This means that
the system must not only conform to
the relevant industry specifications
supported by the UAA initiative, but
it must also meet all applicable requirements
outlined by the Windows Logo Program.
To ensure a Windows Vista Logo certification,
OEMs and ODMs should validate their
systems audio solution for UAA compliance
with relevant specifications early
in their design and test cycles. SEZZO
Labs can help with this by providing
both on-site and off-site testing,
with specialized staff that can assist
with audio Logo Program issues and
submissions.
Microsoft's DTM, which is part of
the new Windows Driver Kit (WDK),
requres the use of an Audio Precision
System Two analyzer for conducting
all audio related testing. SEZZO Labs
conducts all fidelity tests using
the Audio Precsion 2722 line of analyzers.
